Painted aluminum durable, lightweight and functional roof and facade material
Falzonal® – painted aluminum durable, lightweight and functional roof and facade material. Alloy, mechanical properties and coating type – specifically designed complex for bending technique used with Falzonal®.
Application: Falzonal®, used for pitched roofs and attics. Alternatively, it may be used for cladding facades of complex geometric shapes. Falzonal®, repeats the shape you need and not vice versa.
Alloy: Novelis alloy WG-C4S (AlMn1Mg0,5 according to EN 573/EN 1396), H41.
Dimensions:
- Thickness: 0,7 mm
- Width: 600mm or 1200 mm
Thermal expansion: The coefficient of linear extension 0,024 mm/m.
Elasticity: modulus of elasticity – 70,000 H/mm².
Coating: Front side: 2-layer PVdF 80/20 coating system. Paint system: PVdF (polyvinylidene fluoride). When aluminum sheets need to be painted in some special color then four-layer coating system is used. The back side is covered with a transparent protective lacquer stamped with an identification number and a Novelis logo. The arrow on the protective film or on the back side indicates the direction of application of the decorative coating.
Coating thickness: Front side approx. 25µm, back side: 3µm.
Gloss: Approximately 10 -20 units on Gardner’s system, at an angle of 60 °, metallic colors – 40 units.
Standard colors according to Novelis color chart. The standard colors are also “new copper”, “old copper”, “titanium”, “zinc”. Minimum order quantity for special colors or shades is 1500 m².
Protective film:The protective film is white color, non-slip, UV – resistant, asymmetrically perforated. The film may remain on the material up to 6 months, until all assembly works are completed.
Processing: Falzonal® painted aluminum can be processed without loss of quality of the metal.
By means of bending process and influence of temperature a special aluminum rolls can be made, which are durable and has high elasticity. Thanks to its high quality, this product can be used not only for simple shapes of the roofs, but also for domes, complex roofing systems, facades and cladding . Falzonal® produced by Novelis strong, corrosion resistant and highly durable. Therefore, the walls and roofs will remain dry and protected for a long time.
It is also important that the paint is applied by the rolling method “Coil-coating”, depending on the color, two or four layers with firing. Falzonal® paint coatings were tested in extreme climates. The paint coating is UV resistant, not lighter, do not become brittle under the influence of air and light, does not absorb dirt. Moreover, the guarantee for the coating shade stability is up to 30 years. The coating system made of polyvinylidene fluoride varnishes, meets the highest requirements and excludes any paint damage when subjected to forces of compression and tension. High-quality surface is protected from contamination and damage during handling on the roof by usage of the protective film, which can be removed after installation work, is completed. The reverse side of the coils is also coated with a protective lacquer.
